LOL, that Joe Smith, he was a real piece of work. His comment reminds me of a book I saw, "The LDS Church Conspiracy to Rule The World". I don't remember who wrote it and I didn't pay much attention to it. But now, perhaps it's worth another look..
Great post! God Bless!
PS. A friend in Salt Lake City told me the lds church has a new program,in which the cleaning staff for wards and other buildings have been replaced with the members doing the cleaning. Have you heard about this? Yeah, I would feel real good about a group of Elders or cub scouts cleaning the restrooms at the ward building.....
But all believing Mormons will deny or justify in some way...
Yeah Becky, your right. The 'prophet' is never wrong in the eyes of those who wear rose colored glasses.
Don't know the book Bear, I'll have to look into it as well.
The 'Maids', or I should say those who want to keep their temple recommends, clean away. My dad is big on it. I had the wonderful experience of help cleaning the rec. hall after a wedding reception of my niece not too long ago. Nothing like enjoying 'quality time' together with your family while vacuuming the rug when everyone else leaves the party.LOL!!!
God Bless all,
handmaiden
